Oli Inspects Flood-Affected Areas in Dhading and Nuwakot, Hears Victims’ Concerns

Kathmandu, September 2 : CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has conducted an on-site inspection of flood-affected areas in Dhading and Nuwakot, including Galchhi, and interacted with local residents to hear their concerns and problems.

Oli reached Galchhi in Dhading, one of the areas severely affected by the recent Bhotekoshi-Trishuli flood, and took stock of the situation of local residents affected by the disaster. He also received information about the damage caused by the flood and the immediate needs of affected families.

During the visit, UML-affiliated organizations including the National Youth Association Nepal, All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU), General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) and Overseas Nepalese Forum (ONF) were carrying out rescue, relief distribution and assistance activities in the affected areas. Oli also monitored these activities and interacted with those involved in relief efforts.

After the Dhading visit, Oli inspected several flood- and landslide-affected areas of Belkotgadhi Municipality in Nuwakot. He was briefed on damage to physical infrastructure, the condition of affected residents and the status of relief distribution. During the visit, Oli stressed the need to intensify rescue and relief efforts and provide immediate assistance to people who have been displaced by the disaster.
