19th General Assembly of Ichangunarayan Community Service Center to Be Held on Saturday

Kathmandu: The 19th Annual General Assembly of the Ichangunarayan Community Service Center and Community Police Service Center, Nagarjun, is scheduled to be held on Saturday.

The general assembly will be held at the premises of Reed Model School in Nagarjun Municipality-3. Additional Inspector General of Nepal Police Sushil Singh Rathour is scheduled to attend the event as the chief guest, while Nagarjun Municipality’s Acting Mayor Sushila Adhikari will be the special guest.

The event will also be attended by the Chief of Kathmandu Police Range, the Chief of Community Police, the Chief of Police Circle Swayambhu, and representatives from security agencies and local government, according to the organizers.

More than 350 lifetime members affiliated with the Community Service Center, along with representatives of various social organizations, well-wishers and supporters, are expected to participate in the general assembly.

The organizers have also scheduled a special program to honor organizations and individuals who have provided various forms of support and cooperation to the Community Service Center in its social and community activities. Organizations and individuals who have continuously supported the center’s activities, contributed to social services and played an important role in cooperation with the community police will be honored during the event.

The general assembly will also present the organization’s financial and organizational reports and hold discussions on its future plans. The meeting will review the social service, community security, public awareness and other activities carried out by the organization over the past year and discuss ways to make its services more effective in the coming days.

The Ichangunarayan Community Service Center and Community Police Service Center was established in 2007 (2064 B.S.). Since its establishment, the center has been working in cooperation with the local community to promote social services, public awareness and peace and security.

The center has been conducting various social activities by connecting the concept of community policing with the local community. Chairman Pratap Dani said the center has played an important role in strengthening cooperation and coordination among local residents, police, elected representatives, social organizations and community activists.

Chairman Dani said the Ichangunarayan Community Service Center has established itself as one of the active and effective community police service centers in Nepal.

The 19th General Assembly is expected to review the organization’s past activities and further strengthen its programs related to community security and social services in a more organized, effective and result-oriented manner.
