Bajura, Sept 6: The Sanfe-Martadi road, which serves as a connection to the district headquarters, has been obstructed by landslides in multiple locations due to the incessant rainfall in Bajura.
Currently, the road is impassable at Jelmode, Suwakandh, and various other areas within Badimalika Municipality-9 in Martadi.
Police Inspector Gagan Singh Bhatta from the District Police Office has reported that landslides have also impacted regions such as Rapka in Badimalika Municipality-8 and Jadanga in Ward No. 6.
A five-member police team led by Police Assistant Inspector Laxmi Dutt Bhatt was dispatched to the affected area.
As per the District Police Office, the team is actively engaged in clearing the landslides with assistance from a JCB provided by the Badimalika Municipality and the Roads Department. However, the persistent rainfall continues to pose a threat of additional landslides in other parts of the road.
Consequently, traffic along the Sanfe-Martadi route has been disrupted. The vehicles, en route to their destinations are stranded on road.#rss
