PM Shah urges Gen Z lawmakers to cultivate leadership thru innovative approaches

Kathmandu, Sept 18: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has urged the Gen-Z parliamentarians to adopt innovative approaches for cultivating leadership in the sector of employment and enterprises.

During a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singh Durbar on Friday, PM Shah encouraged the younger lawmakers to pay special attention towards the measures to foster economic freedoms in their generation.

Field-based investigations and analytical works that leverage modern digital technologies and adoption of pragmatic problem-solving methodologies can be instrumental in resolving problems and creating new jobs, according to the PM.

Political engagement should be transformed as a driver of sustained encouragement and financial autonomy, and the independent commercial enterprises established accordingly, Shah said, adding such activities would be helpful in revenue generation.

The PM further stated, “Politics should not serve as a source of income. Parliamentarians must achieve self-sufficiency through alternative business ventures.”

The Gen-Z lawmakers attending the discussion pledged to embrace the PM’s guidance and reinforce their generation’s self-reliance and foster domestic opportunities. Before the PM, they presented concern over the issues such as Gen-Z movement casualties, wounded individuals, detainees, legislative development, educational advancement, healthcare services, infrastructure expansion and digital innovation.
