Flydubai aircraft lands at Pokhara International Airport

Gandaki, Sept 23: A flydubai aircraft has landed at Pokhara International Airport at 6:19 PM today after departing from Dubai International Airport.

The flydubai has begun operating in the newly launched regular commercial Dubai-Pokhara-Dubai route starting today.

Airport General Manager Jagannath Niraula stated that the Boeing 737 Max aircraft, carrying 113 passengers, was welcomed with a water salute upon arrival. Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, along with government officials and representatives from tourism-related organizations, were present at the airport to welcome the passengers.

The flydubai aircraft departed for Dubai from Pokhara today with 153 passengers on board. The service is expected to offer greater convenience to passengers traveling from Pokhara to destinations in Europe, the Americas, and elsewhere via Dubai, while also reducing travel time and costs.

In addition, foreign tourists will now be able to fly directly to Pokhara to visit the city-designated as the country’s tourism capital—and its surrounding tourist attractions.

It may be noted that to attract airlines for international operations, the government has offered waivers on various fees at the airport. Parking, landing, and navigation fees have been completely waived until the end of Bhadra, 2085 BS. Additionally, the government has decided to provide a 50 percent discount on ground handling charges.

The flydubai’s schedule involves landing in Pokhara at 6:15 PM and departing for Dubai at 7:15 PM daily. This direct flight to Dubai—a global aviation transit hub—connects Pokhara to the international air network. The flydubai operates direct flights to over 120 destinations worldwide. (RSS)
