Internal bitterness within the party must end, NC President Thapa

Pokhara, Oct 27: President of Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has stated that internal bitterness within the party must be brought to an end.

Speaking at an event organised by the BP Memorial Library here today, President Thapa announced that the Nepali Congress will initiate a renewed dialogue by reaching out to voters who have drifted away from the party.

On the occasion of the 113th BP Jayanti, he proposed launching a special campaign to reconnect with families who were once associated with the Congress but have since parted ways. “More than 200,000 families have currently distanced themselves from us. We must reach out to these families and engage in dialogue with them.”

Expressing his commitment to working with integrity throughout his four-year tenure, he instructed party leaders to abandon ostentatious styles and instead dedicate themselves to working at the grassroots level in the villages.

President Thapa further stated that the authority to select candidates for the upcoming local-level elections would be fully delegated to the lower (local) party units. (RSS)
