Nepal defeats Malaysia by six wickets

Malaysia was limited 103 runs in 32.3 overs losing all wickets

Kathmandu, Sept 3: Nepal has secured two consecutive victories under ACC Men’s Premier Cup. It made two consecutive wins defeating Malaysia by six wickets in today’s match held in Malaysia.

Earlier, Nepal had defeated Bahrain in the first match.

In today’s match, Malaysia posted a 104-run victory target before Nepal. In response, Nepal chased the victory-target in 21.4 overs at the loss of four wickets.

For Nepal, Arjun Kumal gathered highest 45 runs (not out) in 68 balls while Ishan Pandey, Dipendra Singh Airee and Rohit Kumar Paudel made 20 runs, 12 runs and 10 runs respectively.

Towards bowling, Sayed Aziz, Virandeep Singh, Prashant Madhukar and Arif Ullah of Malaysia took one wicket each.

Earlier, chose to bat first after winning the toss, Malaysia was limited 103 runs in 32.3 overs losing all wickets.

Malaysian captain Sayed Aziz gathered the highest 30 runs in 49 balls while Akil Wahid, Virendeep Singh and Syahadat Ramli scored 24 runs, 14 runs and 13 runs respectively.

Similarly, other Malaysian batters could not make double digit run. To limit Malaysia to 1-3 runs, Karan KC took four wickets, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi two wickets while Hemant Dhami, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane took one wicket each.

Nepal will play its third match against Saudi Arabia on September 6.(RSS)
