Couple found dead in Dhanusha

Janakpurdham, Oct 25: Reena Devi Yadav, 30, was found dead at her maternal home in Mithila Bihari Municipality-3 of Dhanusha, while her spouse was subsequently found hanging from a tree about one kilometre away from the home.

According to police, the woman was found with her throat slit by a sharp weapon. The body of her husband Umesh Yadav, 35, was recovered from a jungle around one kilometre away from his in-laws’ house this morning, according to spokesperson for the District Police Office, Dhanusha, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Om Prakash Khanal.

Yadav, a permanent resident of Mithila Bihari-4 had returned home from foreign employment a few days ago. He had arrived at his in-laws’ house a day before the incident.

The couple is survived by a four-year-old son. The woman was staying in her maternal home with her son. The child also sustained a wound from a sharp weapon in his thigh, DSP Khanal said.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are suspicious and the police are investigating the case, it is said. #rss
