Kathmandu, Nov 2: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle and Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Gita Chaudhary, held a meeting today.
During the meeting, they discussed the various issues including climate finance mobilization, green climate fund, adaptation fund, carbon finance and preparation of upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-31), according to the Forest Ministry.
The two ministers held discussion on expanding Nepal’s access to international climate finance, making programmes related to climate adaption as well as loss and damage more effective and robustly presenting Nepal’s priorities in international platforms.
Similarly, emphasis was laid on enhancing mutual coordination, collaboration and resource management between the ministries more effective for climate finance mobilization. (RSS)
