Tribhuvan University Introduces Home Delivery Service for Academic Certificates

Kathmandu: Tribhuvan University (TU) has introduced a new arrangement to deliver academic certificates and official documents directly to students through postal services.

An agreement to this effect was signed on Tuesday between Tribhuvan University and the Department of Postal Services. TU Registrar Dr. Rabindra Shivakoti and Director General of the Department of Postal Services, Manmaya Bhattarai Pangeni, signed the agreement.

Under the agreement, certificates issued by various university offices will be delivered securely to students through postal services using their phone numbers and complete addresses.

The 22-point agreement states that certificates and other official correspondence will be registered in the Postal Information Tracking System (PITS) with tracking barcodes to ensure systematic transportation and distribution. The system will also make it easier to monitor whether documents have reached their intended destinations.

Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the Registrar’s Office in Kirtipur, TU Registrar Shivakoti expressed happiness that a long-standing plan to connect university services with postal services and deliver them to students’ doorsteps had finally materialized.

Similarly, Director General Pangeni said postal services serve as an important link between citizens and the state. She expressed satisfaction that the department had been entrusted with the responsibility of delivering public services directly to people’s homes through this initiative.

The agreement is expected to make the process of obtaining academic certificates and other official documents easier and more convenient for TU students.
